3 John 1:2
2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

How easy it is for believers to appropriate Jesus’ work on the cross for the forgiveness of their sins! Sadly, however, those same people often have difficulty appropriating the death and shed blood of Jesus to other areas of their lives. Jesus bore not just our sins in His body. He bore our sicknesses and illnesses; in fact, anything that affects our body as well. He took all our sicknesses upon Himself and took them to the grave. When He resurrected, He did not bring them back.

Notice that when Jesus resurrected He became totally free from your sins and mine; and free from your sicknesses and mine – those very things for which God forsook Him on the cross. We are blessed and highly favored, and this is not just another slogan. We are truly blessed.

As a believer, you have the option of receiving and walking in divine health or waiting to fall sick before claiming your healing. I think the first is better than the second. Learn to walk in divine health all the time because that is what Jesus would be doing if He were still here on earth.
Our prosperity in Christ is also not limited to healthy living as said earlier. It permeates all aspects of our lives. That is what Jesus meant when He talked about giving us life more abundantly. Jesus saves us from poverty so that any effort we make to come out of poverty is multiplied several times by the grace of God. That is what is called, “I shall not want”; because the Lord provides for me.

1. Thank God this morning for the multiple blessings available to you by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
2. Ask for faith to walk in all the benefits of Calvary; they are all yours for the taking.
3. Father, please help me trust You and thereby live to totally benefit from the death of Jesus on Calvary for me.

I declare that I am a beneficiary of the cross of Calvary. All that Jesus did on Calvary He did for me. I am determined to walk in all those blessings by divine authority. I choose to walk in holiness, divine health, peace, prosperity and happiness in my soul. I appropriate all that Jesus purchased for me on the cross of Calvary in the name of Jesus!
