28 Jan TAKING YOUR POSSESSIONS BY PRAYER
4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
The believer’s inheritance is twofold – first, the numerous material and earthly blessings that God promised all who come to Christ. God’ intention is not that you live a miserable life on earth because He has a life in heaven for you. His plan is that first, you enjoy the life He has for you here, and second, you continue to enjoy even more when you come over to live with Him after death.
Your inheritance in heaven is securely intact. The earthly inheritance is however often subjected to the elements of the earth, including activities of the devil, trying to rob you of your due on earth. That calls for spiritual warfare to possess your possessions. It is not a physical fight where you go about quarrelling with everyone around. It is a spiritual fight.
That simply means you involve God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit in that fight. That is where a lot of people miss it. They think it is their fight and in the process they end up losing because they fight not according to the rules God has instituted for spiritual warfare.
You have the privilege of employing all the types of prayer available in the scriptures to possess your possession. When the battle is won in the spirit, the natural issues just give way. God is certainly waiting on you to get Him to fight on your behalf.
1. Celebrate the God whose ears are open to your prayers any day and anytime.
2. Ask for grace to be still in God, simply making your requests known to Him and fully persuaded He has done what you ask.
3. Father, please help me to continually live with the knowledge and understanding that You are my great Provider.
I declare that God my provider has reserved for me all that I need to enable me live an abundant life here on earth. I declare that by grace I shall receive all that has been provided for me. Let every devourer assigned against me be arrested and cast out in the name of Jesus. I honor God for all He has so freely prepared for me. My God is truly God, and I will worship Him all the days of my life in the name of Jesus.
