CONTAIN YOUR BLESSING

CONTAIN YOUR BLESSING

Haggai 1:6

“You have sown much, but harvest little; you eat, but there is not enough to be satisfied; you drink, but there is not enough to become drunk; you put on clothing, but no one is warm enough; and he who earns, earns wages to put into a purse with holes.”

What do you expect to happen when God commands the winds of the west, east, north and south to blow in your direction? It is obvious that your barns will fill to overflowing. You will have more than you imagined. That is exactly what happens to you in the time of harvest. God does that repeatedly; all the time and so expect that this year.

The issue for many of us however, is that we struggle to hold what God gives us. We are unable to contain God’s blessings. The last thing you want to happen to you is to let the harvest God brings your way go waste. Is that possible? Yes, it is, else God will not be warning about earning wages and putting it into a purse with holes.

What kind of things do you invest your money into? If these are not things that eventually bring glory to God, you are leaking your harvest as fast as they come, till the Lord decides not to bring them your way again for a season.

Give yourself this important assignment. Take time to let the Holy Spirit reveal to you all the issues in your life that represent holes that leak your harvest away. It is very easy to do that. Count the numerous things you do whereby you waste a lot of resources instead of making the resources work for you. Eliminate those that are potential resource-draining holes. Give them no longer space in your life. Be wise.

Prayer

1. Be grateful to God this morning for His commitment to bring great harvest of blessings to you this year.
2. Ask Him for wisdom to handle the harvest He brings your way.
3. Father, please help me not to become a waste pipe in your blessing to humanity. Make me wise on all fronts to preserve Your blessings.

Declarations

I declare today, that I am a good container. I have the capacity to hold God’s blessings as they come. There shall be no holes in my purse. There will be no leakages. My purse will have the ability to hold every blessing from above and l will use them to the glory of my God, in the name of Jesus.
