17 Jan Recapture LOST TERRITORIES
12 Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the Lord spoke in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the Lord will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the Lord said. 13 And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance.
History teaches us what happens during and after a war. Nations lose territories when they are defeated in war by a stronger nation. For several years following that defeat, the nation that lost prepares itself militarily, in the hope that when a good opportunity strikes, it will wage war on the other nation, fight and win the next battle. If they succeed the obvious thing that happens is the recapture of their lost territories.
There is always opportunity for anyone to fight back to win what he lost in any kind of battle. Our life as Christians is no exception. You may have lost some part of your life due to carelessness, laziness, taking things for granted, or sheer negligence. God assures us that He is always fighting on our behalf with the assurance of victory.
Each of us has the privilege of waging war to recapture what we lost. You may have lost certain virtues as a Christian because of bad friendship. You have to fight back to recapture those virtues. You probably became lazy and lost opportunities for promotion in your workplace. You can work hard to recapture what you lost by improving yourself to be more efficient in delivering as expected from you. If you made some decisions in your marriage and realize you are losing your spouse, you need to fight back to recapture that trust you betrayed which is now costing you your dear spouse.
1. Give thanks to God for His promise to give us all that our eyes can see and all places that our feet shall tread upon by faith.
2. Pray for increased faith to step out to expand your territories, and extend your influence with all its blessings.
3. Father, please help me to shake off the dust and be active in taking territories.
I declare that I am a born-again child of God. The Holy Spirit indwells me. I am therefore a territory-taker. Wherever the Lord leads me shall become an extension of my territory; and I shall not turn back on His promises until I have occupied every God given territory in the name of Jesus.
