Joshua 1:1-4

1 After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, 2 “Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Israel. 3 Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given to you, just as I promised to Moses. 4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun shall be your territory”.

Whatever we read in the bible, whether an event that happened, an instruction that God gave, or something that God did, we can always find in them principles informing and directing what we do today. God promised Joshua that wherever the sole of his foot touched He had given to him. In other words, wherever Joshua could walk was potential property for him.

If you had that promise in these days I am sure you will intentionally walk large portions of land and claim all for yourself and your family after you. That promise God made to Joshua still stands today. This time the context is different however. I am sure you have lived in different places at this point in your life. The question to ask is this: Did you possess all those places where you lived? To interpret this more accurately, how many people in those areas did you “possess” for the kingdom?

We are conscious to be remembered positively wherever life sends us to. I believe the one thing we can add to our profile is how many came to know the Lord because of your presence in those communities. What has been your Christian witness so far?

1. Thank God for the privilege of being His child, knowing that heaven is your portion.
2. Ask God for a new fire in your heart to go after the lost and bring them back into the kingdom.
3. Father, please help me free myself from too many entanglements so I will go back to winning souls for the kingdom.

I declare that all God has given me shall become my portion by divine authority. I rekindle my passion for evangelism in the name of Jesus. I declare that I will live for God, for souls, and for the kingdom of God. I refuse to put my Light under a bushel. I will let my Light shine in my community for souls to be won in the name of Jesus.
