06 Jan VICTORY IN JESUS’ NAME
Through You we will push down our enemies; through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us. For I will not trust in my bow, nor shall my sword save me. But You have saved us from our enemies, and have put to shame those who hated us. In God we boast all day long, and praise Your name forever.”
As you agree to partner with God for the end-time harvest of souls, you have to understand that the enemy will not leave you alone. He wants to populate hell just in the same way you want heaven populated. That is a critical focus of the conflict we are engaged in on this side of eternity. As you seek to rescue the perishing, someone is not happy and will fight tooth and nail to make sure the lost and perishing continue to be under his control.
The immediate implication of this truth is that you must stand strong in the Lord. This fight is actually not our fight. It is not yours and it is not mine. It belongs to the heavenlies; specifically to the entire of God’s heaven. Remember there is great joy in heaven over every sinner that repents. Think about it this way; in this decision to partner with God for the saving of souls into the kingdom, you have the whole of heaven on your side.
The assurance we have as believers is that we have already won in the conflict that comes to us, especially because we are aggressive in winning men and women into the kingdom. The insurance on that is higher than any insurance premium you can think of. You are safe and secure in Christ. Remember that if purpose preserves you, then winning people into the kingdom is surely one that will preserve your life on earth against all the odds you encounter.
1. Worship the Lord for His absolute victory over the devil and all his demons. Victory is yours by inheritance.
2. Pray for faith and understanding of the implications of Christ’s victory on Calvary for you.
3. Heavenly Father, please grant me the grace to stand firm in the victory of Calvary whereby I am unmovable by anything.
I declare that I am rooted in Christ through the finished work at Calvary. His power totally overshadows me. Therefore, I am forever established in Him. I shall not be moved; neither shall I be uprooted by anyone or any circumstance. I am grounded firmly in Him and I declare by divine that His victory is absolutely mine in the name of Jesus.
