SUMMARY: : Initiate and develop Administrative and HR policies, strategic plans and programs covering employee relations, recruiting, performance management, career development, and administration of benefits. Main responsibility is to advise managers, supervisors, and staff on all HR practices; to provide information to employees about regulations, contract language, and policies, implement decisions and provide general support. In general, you will perform a wide variety of both complex and routine administrative services.
- Put in place sound policies or procedures for the recruitment, assignment, appraisals, evaluations, training, promotion, salary adjustments, transfer, termination and retirement of all pastoral and non-pastoral staff.
- Liaise with the Director of Finance and Accounting Department in matters concerning financial practices and procedures in the department under your control.
- Advise the CEO, college of Bishops and Branch Pastors on all matters of an Administrative or Human Resources nature for their consideration.
- Report to the CEO and coordinate with other directors and managers on matters of compliance with ACI HR and Admin policies and procedures.
- Ensure the development, emplacement, execution and monitoring of policies in the above areas throughout the ACI structure worldwide, by working through the Senior Pastor and the Missions Office.
- Prepare quarterly departmental reports on the implementation of policies and programmes.
- Review documents such as employment policies, code of conduct especially with regards to termination, resignation, retirement, retention and pension with the assistance of the HR Administrative Officer
- Authorize and disallow all requisitions or procurements from staff under your control for the further consideration of the CEO.
- Bring to the attention of the CEO all matters in any of the divisions under your control that require his attention.
- Participate in management meetings, conferences or as the CEO may direct either in writing or orally.
- Represent ACI in all matters as directed by the CEO.
- Ensure that planning of all major church events such as Easter Convention, 31st Night etc, start six months prior to the event.
- Manage all HR issues with the assistance of the HR and Administrative manager and Officers, including making sure all staff have valid appointment letters, stating their responsibilities, compensation and benefits and terms for periodic assessment.
- Liaise with the HR and or Administrative Manager and Officers to undertake periodic inventory of the Human Resource needs of the church and report findings to the CEO.
- Recommend to the CEO any training needs of staffs with the objective of improving performance and organizational effectiveness.
- Assist the management team to develop and maintain:
- An effective filing system by making sure that access to folders that contain confidential and sensitive information and data about the church are restricted and controlled by protocol.
- An equitable salary structure that will be commensurate with the value of work or task being performed by the right people in the right positions.
- An effective mechanism for measuring staff performance.
- A suitable organizational chart, personnel policy and staff job descriptions.
- Develop a computerized database of the church membership in collaboration with the Missions Office.
- Confer with the Management team and propose or review staff welfare and benefit packages from time-time.
- Will also take charge of the general administration of:
- Security Policies
- Transport Policies
- Music Equipment and Audio-Visual Policies
- ICT Policies.
- Carry out other tasks that may be directed by the CEO either verbally or in writing.

EXPERIENCE
- Minimum a Master’s, degree preferably an MBA and 10 years post graduation related HR experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and persuade across all levels of the ministry.
- Computer proficiency (MS word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet).
- Excellent written, verbal, and nonverbal interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to engage in independent decision-making and problem-solving skills
